🔥 Maggie Bowman and McMinnville Metal Works are hosting the 4th Annual Metal Arts Gift Show and Exhibition! This family-friendly holiday event will be on Saturday, November 22…10:00am-7:00pm. This unique one-day Metal Art will be held at The Yamhill Co. Fair Grounds in McMinnville, Oregon. The address is 2070 NE Lafayette Ave. There is an entry fee of $5…or 5 cans of food (for YCAP) entry fee.
🔥 Welcome to the sights and sounds of the Metalsmiths’ world. Shop for exclusively handmade items by more than 35 local Metal Artists. Hear the hammers forging bronze, copper, and silver into intricate shapes and examine handmade replicas of ancient armor and swords, still used today, in re-enactments!
🔥 Enjoy beautiful handmade jewelry designed and created by talented local jewelers. This will be the perfect opportunity to find that last minute Christmas gift…or maybe something for yourself! Have your picture taken with a Knight in Shining Armor! (The Knight Before Christmas!)
🔥 There will be ongoing demonstrations of blacksmithing, forging, wire wrapping, 3D CAD design, gold plating, and the proper use of tools. Metalsmiths have been around for centuries and some of our techniques are just as ancient as they were in the beginning. You can watch demonstrations on how technology is changing the way jewelry artists create their designs with the use of a 3-D CAD design computer. Maybe even sign up for a class with Anvil Academy. Several of their instructors have been Champions on Forged in Fire!
🔥 This is a rare opportunity to meet local Metal Artists from several regional Metal Art Guilds, all under one roof! Come for the Metal Art and demonstrations…and stay to enjoy the Food Trucks and live music. This show ends at 7:00pm.
🔥 There is ADA accessibility. Hope to see you there! This is also a fundraiser for our local food bank, YCAP. 5 cans of food or $5 for entry. Not all vendors take cards.
